Harold Francis Turner, 74, passed away on July 12, 2001 in Fort Lauderdale. He was born on February 8, 1927, in Brooklyn, to the late Harold and Margaret (Bradley) Turner and lived the greater part of his life in South Florida. He was a MSGT in the United States Marine Corps, serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, and received the Purple Heart.

Hap, as he was affectionately known, is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hildegarde (Strychalski) Turner, daughters, Denise (Kevin) Flanagan, Kathy (Randy) Elmore, Alexis (Doug) Werner and Jackie Lockwood, sisters, Joan Zalecki and Patricia Turner, and brother, Gerry Turner, as well as 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Hap was interred at Arlington National Cemetery on August 6, 2001 with full military honors.
