Mrs. Mollie H. Howell, 99, died at seven o'clock this morning at a Griswold nursing home where she had been a patient since Jan. 16,1963. Born June 17,1867, at Wheeling, W. Va. [sic], she was the daughter of Philip and Sarah Wheeler Pringey and came with her parents to Cass County when a child. They settled in Edna Township and she was married to Hardie [sic] H. Howell on March 22, 1891 [sic]. They spent all [sic] of their married life in Cass County and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cumberland. Survivors are two sons, Ross of Atlantic and Harley of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bruce Pringey of Stuart. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Lucas, who died May 23, 1951, and Mrs. John Mattheis, who died Feb. 28, 1958. The family will meet friends and relatives at Hodges Funeral Home Tuesday evening. The Rev. Ed Woltson will conduct last rites Wednesday at the First Baptist Church here.
