Robert Dean DeWitt was the son of Wallace Hubert DeWitt and Lula Almira Davis/DeWitt. He was the husband of Harriette Ann Chapman/DeWitt they were married June 2,1940. He is the father of Sherry Ann DeWitt/Hager and Robert Dean DeWitt Jr. He and everyone aboard were killed when the truck they were in hit a land mine.
He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
