Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 2, Public Lot 5499, Grave #1550.
Public lot graves, measuring about 4 by 8 feet in area, have room for only one stone apiece, limiting the space for inscribed text. A typical public lot grave can accommodate about 5 adults—more if those interred are infants or have been cremated. This grave is unmarked, at the center of the photo. A stone placed on grave 1550 would stand between the two stones pictured.
