The Louisville Courier-Journal, Friday, 1-29-1960:

WILLIAM HERBERT MATTINGLY, 57, died at 2:20 P.M. Thursday at St. Anthony Hospital. He lived at 1111 Cecil. A guard at International Harvester Company the past 13 years, he had been ill three weeks. Survivors include his wife, the former Thelma Franck; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Ewing, Decatur, IL., and Mrs. Fred Whitehouse, Mrs. Rosalie Logsdon, and Mrs. Ernest Abell; and three brothers, Rollie Mattingly, Akron, Ohio; Robert Mattingly, San Benito, Tex.; and Ben Mattingly, Elizabethtown. The funeral will be at 8:15 A.M. Monday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak, and at 9 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Mattingly is at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St. at Schiller Ave, where services will be conducted Monday morning at 8:15 and in Christ the King Church at 9 A.M.
