Ginni was the oldest of the three children of John Glenn Button and Virginia Louise (McCullough) Button. She grew up outside of Pittsburgh, in the North Hills and Churchill Borough, and moved to Kentucky as a young adult. Ginni had a host of friends, bottomless energy, a keen sense of justice, and an exceedingly sharp wit. Near the end of her life, she moved to Kansas to be near her grandchildren. Although Ginni wanted to live much, much longer, she left behind many gifts, great and small. She had two memorial services: one in Kansas and the other in Kentucky, lovingly designed just for her old friends. Heaven is a wilder place because she's there. Ginni was cremated, and her urn remains in the care of family.
