Otto F. Schlee -- Rochester

MARYA Oct 10, 1997

The funeral for Otto F. Schlee will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Revs. Sherman Coltvet and Gary C. Heidt-Johnson co-officiating. Burial will be in the Oronoco Cemetery.

Mr. Schlee, 86, of 1305 Third Ave. N.W., a former farmer and retired Kruse Lumber Co. employee, died Wednesday (Oct. 8, 1997) at Maple Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness.

He was born Dec. 1, 1910, in West Union, Iowa. On Oct. 20, 1930, he married Nina Wenzel in Rochester. Mr. Schlee farmed and after moving to Rochester worked for Kruse Lumber Co. until his retirement in 1966. His wife is a retired Mayo Clinic employee. He was a member of Our Saviors' Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Carol Gatti of Rochester and Marcia (Mrs. John) Thede of Kimberly, Wis.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Bird of Byron. He was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a brother and a sister.
