Obituary, The Flagler Tribune, Bunnell, Florida, Thursday, July 18, 1957: Mrs. Minnie Morrison, 91, of Hastings, died in a nursing home in Ocala Monday afternoon.
She was born in Hastings and was the youngest of 17 children of Mr. and Mrs. George Carter who moved to Hastings from Georgia.
Mrs. Morrison was the widow of J. L. Morrison of Hastings. She was the youngest sister of the late Mrs. Mary Ketus Johnston of Bunnell who passed away here in June.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Daisy Davenport, Ocala; Mrs. Jim Wallace, Hastings; Mrs. Vernon Moore, Norfolk, Va.; Mrs. Allie Lee Geiger, Jacksonville; three sons, Carl T. Morrison of Miami; J. D. Morrison of Pompano and Charles Morrison of Hastings. Twenty-one grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the United. Methodist Church at 2 o'clock. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery in St. Augustine with Garcia Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
