Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 84, Lot 7281.
[NOTE: Several individuals buried here are not memorialized by any currently visible or legible stone or inscription. A list of lot residents, with burial dates, appears after the inscriptions.]
Five stones mark this lot. Behind the tallest monument, one of two completely eroded and illegible stones is visible. These probably date from the 1850s and/or 1860s, a time during which several STAVEY burials took place here. At that time, those 2 illegible stones were legible, and stood overlooking the old Arbor Pond—which was filled in to become the site for the chapel in the background.
