The Washington Post edition of Feb 12 1914 has an obit on page 3:

Basim - On Tuesday, February 10, 1914 10 p.m. Irene M. Basim, in her twenty-first year of her age. Funeral services at 1418 Eleventh St northwest, Thursday, February 12, at 2 p.m. [Address of Finley Basim, her uncle.]

She was living with her father's brother, Finley, at the time she died. She died of a stomach ailment, probably appendicitis.
