"Per the Angelina County, Texas Census's for 18 September 1850 and 6 July 1860 John's wife's name was Sarah. According to Texas marriage information his wife's name was Sally Ann Davis; married on 28 May 1846, in Nacogdoches County, Texas. The conclusion may be that her name was Sarah "Sally" Ann Davis?
Also, records indicate that Sally passed away sometime in 1870, in Angelina, Texas, United States
Further, according to the 14 September 1870 US Federal Census for Angelina County, Texas, USA; an "Amandie Jones" is the housekeeper (wife) in the John Jones household."
