Patricia Ann Westhoff, 54, of St. Joseph passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at the St. Joseph hospital.
She was born March 11, 1955, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Isabelle and Alfonzo Cruz.
She graduated from Bishop LeBlond High School Class of 1973.
She married Roger Westhoff on July 28, 1973, and they shared almost 36 years of marriage together.
She worked at Dr. Nigus Dentistry office as a receptionist.
She enjoyed fishing, going to the movies, and flower gardening. She had a general love of people and loved to cook for friends and family. She was a member of the Word of Life Church. Patricia was a loving mother,wife, and sister and will be sadly missed.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Alfonzo Cruz Jr; and one sister, Frances Hagg. Survivors include husband, Roger Westhoff,of the home; a son, Matthew Joseph Westhoff of the home; four brothers: Ralph Cruz of Canyon City, Colo.; Floyd Cruz of Savannah, Mo.; Alex Cruz of Firestone, Colo.; and Sylvester Cruz of St. Joseph; and four sisters: Mary Lou Ashworth, Agnes Gerald, and Tina Donovan of Mesa Ariz.;and Genny Cruz of St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at the Green Valley Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home.Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Memorials are requested in lieu of flowers to the Word of Life Church Mission programs.
