Died Monday, Oct. 26, 1992, at 9:45 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 66, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Hammond. He was a retired South Central Bell Telephone Co. employee and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having served in Iwo Jima.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. Thursday. Wake services at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Stephen Hymel. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by wife, Wanda Boudreaux Bailey, Baton Rouge; three sons, Russell C. Bailey, Ray Emery Bailey and Rodney Dean Bailey,all of Baton Rouge; and five sisters, Hazel W. Daigle, Gonzales, Amy Joy Stevens, Greensburg, Oma Lea Jones, Mildred W. Edwards and Ida Stevens, all of Hammond.

Preceded in death by parents, David and Lena Moore White; adoptive parents, Charles and Ella Bailey; and two brothers, twin, Wilbur White, and Clarence White.

He attended Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and was a member of Telephone Pioneers.
