Son of Peter Gorman and Ellen Quinn. Brother of Joseph (Mary McReary, Gertrude Abbott), Peter, John (Katie), Stephen, and Mary Ellen (Patrick McAndrews). A Produce Peddler according to the census of 1900, and then a guard for American Shipping Line. He was also a policeman for an amusement park, probably Coney Island, where brother Joe was a detective on the Iron Pier after he retired from picking pockets.
