Edward P. Angelette, Sr., beloved husband of the late Dorothy Cernich Angelette, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the age of 87.
Son of the late Joseph T. Angelette and Ruth Rear. Brother of Ruth Angelette Cernich, Jacqueline Angelette (Sr. Ruth O.P.) and the late Joseph H. Angelette and Helene Metzger. Loving father of Geralyn Angelette Hamrick (Bobby), Geral-Anne Angelette Farmer (Terry, Sr.) and Edward P. Angelette, Jr. (Wendy). Grandfather of Wendy H. Partridge, Charlotte H. Chaisson, Christy Sanders, Jeffrey Farmer, Laticia Angelette, and Whitney Angelette Quave. Great-grandfather of Desiree' Partridge, Joni Chaisson, Anna Chaisson, Christopher Edwards, Jr. and Nathaniel Edwards.
He was a U.S. Army WW II veteran, retired Boat Captain, Police sergeant for the Orleans Levee District and a charter member of Flotilla 49 U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1960 retired after 44 years. He was a native of New Orleans where he attended S.J. Peters High School and Magnolia Business College, lived in Marrero and moved to Ponchatoula.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Monday beginning at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow in St. Roch Cemetery #1.
