FUNERAL HELD YESTERDAY AND IS LARGELY ATTENDED

Many Friends of Late Policeman Arturo Garcia Pay Him Last Tribute and Follow Body to Grave

The funeral of Arturo Garcia, the city policeman killed on Tuesday evening by Francisco Hernandez, took place from the home of the deceased at 1202 Garza street in San Agustin cathedral and thence to the Catholic cemetery yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock and was largely attended, among these present being City Marshal Frennan, Night Marshal Salinas and entire membership of the Laredo police force, of which the decedent was one of the most popular members during the eleven months that he was on the force.
During the day many friends sent beautiful floral tributes to the home of sorrow, while many called to asked a last look at the stilled features of im who slept his eternal sleep. At the grave following the funeral services a vertible mound of beautiful flower was arranged over the final resting place of the dead officer
