Husband is Samuel M. Dowst of MA. She is daughter of Charles and Jane Barker Cleaver. The Jane and Samuel DOWST home was given to the City of Waukegan by their son in honour of his mother. It is now the building Department, 32 No Utica. At one time it was used as an emergency hospital for the city.
The hospital known as The Jane Dowst Emergency Hospital opened in Waukegan in 1934. It is a first aid hospital and is available to all physicians and all emergency patients. Supervisor, Mabel M. Shauber, Assisting Nurse, Mrs. Linnea Bigger.
She was Christened 30 December 1823 in the Parish of Bexley, County of Kent, England.
