AGED RESIDENT DEAD.

MRS. B. G. BLOWNEY EXPIRED
AT 3:45 THIS AFTERNOON.

Mrs. Katherine Blowney, wife of B. G. Blowney, died at her home, 306 Franklin street, at 3:35 this afternoon, her demise culminating an extended period of ill health.
Mrs Blowney was in the 74th year of her age.
She was one of the county's earliest settlers, locating with her husband upon a farm near Gurnee in 1840, and later moving to Waukegan which city she had seen grow from a wilderness. She was a most estimable woman, who during her long life in city and county gained universal respect and friendship.
No arrangement has yet been made for the funeral, though it will probably be held Monday.
