Native of Kansas, Wichita Resident Since 1934, Dies
Wilbur Emery Bowman, 74, of 1801 Ash, died Wednesday at home.
Mr. Bowman was born Nov. 18, 1880, at Coffeyville, Kan. and came to Wichita in 1934 from Cleveland, Okla. He was a retired farmer and oil field worker.
Survivors are his wife, Josie, of the home; three sons, William Bowman, Long Beach, Calif., Charles E. Bowman, 814 N. Custer, Jerry Bowman, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Roark, 1719 S. Elizabeth; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lenora Mosher, 4823 E. 9th; two stepsons, Chester Crittenden, Linwood, Kan., Lawrence Crittenden, Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, C. L. Bowman, Cleveland, Okla., Ben Bowman, Artesia, N. M., and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Cochran Mortuary at 3 p. m.. Saturday. Brother Claude L. Harris, Jehovah's Witnesses pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
