Funeral services for Thelma M. Culpepper, 95, Noonday, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Noonday Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Davis and Jerry Hawbaker officiating.

Burial will follow at Noonday Cemetery under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy McKay, Thomas McKay, Randy Dean, Don Dean, Mike Phillips, and Steve Phillips.

Mrs. Culpepper passed away peacefully November 21, 2008, in Tyler. She was born March 25, 1913, in Noonday to the late William and Ealey Cone. She worked for Sledge Manufacturing, was a supervisor on the shirt line for Kemm Clothing, and also worked at Levi Strauss and finally Sally's Drapes, as a custom drape maker. She had been a member of Noonday Baptist Church since 1929.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna McCrary and Annie Bell Culpepper; and granddaughters, Sandy Culpepper and Cheryl Bell.

She is survived by her husband of 77 years, Robert Culpepper of Noonday; son, Jesse Culpepper, and daughter, Alma Barnes, both of Noonday; sisters, Ina Hope McKay, Margie Tomlinson, both of Noonday, and Thea Dean of Flint; grandchildren, Vickie Darcy, Regina Hargrove, and Norma Seago; great-grandchildren, Jason Bell, Amber Swan, Joshua Swan, Cory Stokes, and Hannah, Morgan and Grace Hargrove; great-great-grandchild, Hayden Bell.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
