"Homer" was a special man. He was the son of Frederick Grundman and Vera Campbell, and the beloved husband of Bonnie Gaddy, whom he married on July 30, 1942. Bonnie was the daughter of Jack Gaddy and Gladys Buchanan. He was the loving father of Faye, Geraldine, Jo Ann, and Alan. Only educated to the fifth grade, Jim was a lifelong farmer. But he was also a locally renowned water witcher, could quote Keats and Longfellow, play the piano by ear, and was known to have psychic abilities. He was very loving and gentle, and was adored by the four grandchildren he left behind. Five more grandchildren were born after his death. He died of kidney failure at the age of 59. His headstone is a memorial only - he was cremated and his ashes scattered over the land he hunted and loved so much.
