Martha Cotton Lay was my maternal great grandmother. Married to John Wesley Lay, Jr. abt. 1862 in Marshall, Searcy Co., ARK. They raised 9 children, of which my grandfather was the 8th child. This family migrated to Boise, Idaho abt 1895, living in Wallace, Shoshone Co., Idaho until 1902 when Martha died. Her husband John then removed to So. Calif. where he remained until he died in 1913.
