Nephi Lady Dies Following Illness

Margaret Bowers Tryon Services Held Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services were held in the Juab Stake Tabernacle Sunday afternoon for Margaret Bowers Tryon, 50, wife of Thomas Tryon, who died at her home here early Friday morning. Interment was in the Vine Bluff cemetery, under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home, Nephi.

Mrs. Tryon was born in Nephi July 25, 1887, a daughter of Abraham James and Christena St.Clair[sic] Bowers. She has resided in Nephi the majority of her life, with the exception of a rew years spent in the Uintah Basin Districr.

Surviving are her husband, her parents, and 12 brothers and sisters: A. J., Stewart S., Clarence, Maylon, and John Bowers and Mrs. Leona Ewell, Nephi; C. H. Bowers and Mrs. J. E. Robertson, Long Beach, California; H. L. Bowers, Garfield, Mrs. Nettie Tryon, Roosevelt; Mrs. F. D. Aufdemorte, of Stockton, Utah and Mrs. Robert Wyler, Payson.

The services were in charge of Bishop Alma Tranter of the Nephi ward, and consisted of: Invocation, A. E. Sells of the Nephi North ward bishopbric; vocal duet, Mrs. Robert Winn and Mrs. Ralph Barnes; vocal solo, Alice O. Crapo; speakers, Thomas Bailey and Robert Winn; vocal duet, Mrs. Mabel Lunt and LeRoy Whitehead; closing remarks, Bishop Tranter and benediction, Paul E. Booth.

The grave was dedicated by L.A. Bailey Jr.
