Henrietta Grüschow (Grueschow/Gruschow), was born in Moltzow (Rambow), Mecklenburg-Schwerin (Germany) and immigrated to Chicago, IL in 1854, at the age of 15, with her family. She moved to Brooklyn, NY in Apr. 1866, where her sister Caroline Gruschow Voss Buttner and her family were living. She died only a month and a half after arriving in Brooklyn of Pneumonia. She was Baptized and Confirmed at Rambow Church, Mecklenburg-Schwerin (Germany) and was a Dressmaker by trade. She attended First Saint Paul's German Lutheran Church when she lived in Chicago, IL and Zion German Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, NY, both churches still in existance.
