Funeral services for Ms. Ola Byars, age 94, of Fayette, were held Saturday, May 11, 1996 at 2:00P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenny Martin officiated. Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bluff.
Ms. Byars passed away Wednesday, May 8, at the Fayette County Hospital. She was a homemaker and had attended the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, John Byars and J.B. Byars, both of Fayette; three sisters, Marie Winders of Fayette, Elease Loftis of Gadsden, and Wilkie B. Stevenson of Birmingham; a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Ricky Byars, Howard Byars, Don Byars, Matthew Byars, Steve Byars, and Brian Byars.
