Macon, GA-James Olan "Jamie" Abney, Jr., 34, died on April 6, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Chris Dorrity and Mr. Bill Sheffield will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
Mr. Abney was born in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a self-employed roofer and was a member of Grace Point Church. Mr. Abney was a devoted father and an avid baseball and softball player.

Mr. Abney is survived by daughters Calea Abney of Lizella and Harley Reynolds of Jones County; son James Abney, III of Forsyth; mother Carol Higdon of Warner Robins and stepfather Charles Higdon of Macon; sister April Emmert of Bonaire; aunts Barbara Parrish of Jones County and Elaine Platt of Warner Robins; uncles Jack Abney and Eddie Abney of Jones County, Tommy Abney of Twiggs County, and Thomas Sorrow of Atlanta; and grandmother Maxine Abney of Jones County.
