JOEY BOWERS WYLER JOHNSON

Joey Bowers Wyler Johnson, 91, died September 11, 2000 in Lehi.

She was born August 19, 1909 in Nephi to Abraham James and Christina [sic] Sinclair Bowers. She married Robert Wyler, and they were later divorced. She married Cyril Johnson, and he preceded her in death.

She loved sewing and handwork, belonged to the Daughter of Utah Pioneers, was an excellent cook, and an active member of the LDS Church. She was the 13th child in a family of 14.

She is survived by four children: Joyce W. Simmons, Pleasant Grove; Betty Arlene (Keith) Riley, Bountiful; Annette (Gordon) Lavering, Belmont, CA; Robert Wyler, Salt Lake; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leona Mangelson, Salt Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril; a grandson; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be September 14 at 2 p.m. at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork; where friends may call from 12 noon to 1:45 p.m. Burial, Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi. A special thanks to the staff at Greenwood Care Center.
