Marie L. Calkins, 79, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2000 at Provena-Mercy Center in Aurora. She was born May 6, 1921 in Oswego, IL.
    She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Women of the Moose Chapter #83 in Aurora. Marie was united in marriage to LeRoy Calkins, November 2, 1940. They had just celebrated 60 wonderful years together. Marie worked for many years at Strathmore Printing Co. in the Binding Dept. She also volunteered her time at the old Copley Memorial Hospital on Lincoln Ave. arranging flowers for the gift shop. She was always so giving and helpful to her friends whenever she could help. She will be greatly missed by so many people that she loved, especially her close neighbors that she was so fond of.
    Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Marie (Oestreicher) Seidelman, one sister, Elsie Wilson and three brothers, Leonard, Fred and August Seidelman.
    Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Calkins of Montgomery, IL; two daughters, Sandra (Donald) Wulf of Springfield, IL, and Pat (William) Klein of Aurora, IL; two sisters, Minnie Reynolds of Aurora,IL, and Lydia Carpenter of Yorkville, IL; one brother, Harold Seidelman of Aurora, IL,; four grandchildren, Martin (Sandi) Wulf of Springfield, IL, Mary Lynn Anderson of Plainfield, IL, Trisha Klein and Kimberly Klein of Aurora, IL; three great grandchildren, Caitlynn, Max and Sam Anderson of Plainfield, IL.
    Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2000 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery.
    Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home with the Rev. Gerald Rygh officiating.
    Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park in Oswego, IL.
    In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora.
