Bredar; dearest grandfather of Lisa (Randy) Volland, Todd (Kandi) Bredar, Tracy and Kristen Bredar; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Agnes (Walter, dec.) O'Malley, Charlotte (Nick, dec.) Welch, Mauritia (Harry, dec.) Theus, and Antonette (Anthony) Mangold; one brother, Herman (Norma) Bredar; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Preceded in death by his wife, Emily (nee Schweppe) Bredar (1984); also preceded by his parents and two brothers.
    Bernard was born in Rock Island, IL and resided in the Chicago area. Retired owner and operator of Bredar sign company. Veteran WWII U.S. Army. Lifetime member of the Local Union 830 brotherhood of sign and pictorial panters. Past member of the Knights of Columbus.
