Richard Ted Vega, age 74, was born in Victoria, Texas, to Irene M. (Mata) and Doroteo M. Vega. He sang for 25 years with the Houston Grand Opera. He is survived by his daughters, Felicia and Ceciley Vega and Elena Ledesma, and his grandchildren, Kayla and Jacob Ledesma.
His funeral service was held on Thursday, October 9, 2008, in the chapel of Forest Park Westheimer. Interment followed in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
