Barbara Kathryn Coffing, 93, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at Latrobe hospital, Latrobe, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.

She was born January 1, 1917 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana to Homer Claude and Barbara Ethel Grenard Goff. She married Harold M. Coffing on September 15, 1940. He preceded her in death December 11, 1982.

She is survived by her children, Charles H. (F.E. Jody) Coffing, H. Eugene (Debra J.) Coffing, David (Suzanne) Coffing, Barbara (Doug) McCord and Jim (Sheri) Coffing, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Alice Rosalind Clark.

She was a 1934 graduate of Wingate High School and a 1939 graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing as a registered nurse.

She was employed at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, St. Elizabeth in Danville, Illinois and Olin Corp., for 26 1/2 years, as an industrial registered nurse.
