Mrs. Mary Alice Mendizza, 48, of 4217 Boyar avenue, died February 5 in a local hospital. She was born in Staten Island, NY, and came to Long Beach from that city five years ago. She spent most of her life in Staten Island. She belonged to St. Barnabas Catholic parish, and is survived by the widower, John F. Mendizza, and two sons, John R. and Robert J. Mendizza, all of Long Beach: three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Carlin and Mrs. Sadie Smith, both of Staten Island, and Mrs. Ruth Koch of Philadelphia.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Mottell's chapel, and requiem mass will be offered at St. Barnabas church at 8 a.m. Monday. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery, Los Angeles.
