Myra Bayless Jordan Kennard, 74, died Saturday at her home following a long illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Melrose. She was a retired postal clerk, having worked for over 40 years. She was a member of Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Jordan Buz of Melrose and Bettie Jay of Gainesville; one son, Roy L. Jordan Jr. of Putnam Hall; one sister, Glenda Matthews of Gainesville; one brother, Gerald Bayless of Perry; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael N. Carroll of Melrose.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eliam Cemetery in Melrose with the Rev. George M. Katzman officiating.
