Daughter of the late William and Mary Price Stewart, and widow of John Stevens Gilstrap.

She was born and raised in Pickens County, in the Sunset area near Table Rock State Park, and had lived in Liberty for the past 35 years. She was a member of Rice's Creek Baptist Church.

At the time of her death, she was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Welborn and Mrs. Elvira Collins, both of Liberty; three sons,
Willie Gilstrap and Robert Gilstrap of Pickens and Henry Gilstrap of Sunset; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Ellenburg Nations of Easley and Mrs. Arie Morgan of Sunset; one brother, Robert Stewart of Nimmons; 47 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was held at Liberty First Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 16, 1958, conducted by Rev. Marion Hudgins and Rev. Harry L. Thomas.

Burial: West View Cemetery, Liberty.
