James Melvin Roberts, 84, a Yucaipa resident for 19 years, died there Tuesday. He was a native of Star, Texas.
He was a member of Woodmen of the World and of the Baptist Church of Star, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Verna G.; a daughter, Bernice Schultz of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services in Desert Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of F. Arthur Cortner Chapel.
