Rachel married Charles James Benson on 28 Apr 1910. She died at age 89 near Robbinsville, North Carolina. She was a native of Chester, Pennsylvania. She retired in 1958 from the Westinghouse Plant in Lester, Pa. after 28 years of service, most as an elevator operator, and during World War II was an overhead crane operator, with the most longevity of a woman employee of Westinghouse. Rachel was a gentle and kind woman. She loved to travel and often spoke of her many trips to Alaska to visit her son. Rachel was a member of the Christian Science Church for over 40 years. She had two children, and at the time of her death 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was buried next to her husband in Pennsylvania.
