She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Heinz Geiss, The Bluffs, and Genie and Bill McClendon, Gurley; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Christel Slaughter, Baton Rouge, and John and Hilary Slaughter, Grand Coteau; grandchildren, Sarah Gall, Genie Howerton, Hutch McClendon, Virginia Harvin, Eleanor Bond, Bryan McClendon, Will Slaughter, Michael Slaughter, David Slaughter, John Slaughter and Andrew Slaughter; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. W. Shewen Slaughter; and her parents, Judge and Mrs. John H. Jarman.
