SALEM - He was born February 5, 1922 in Jackson Cty, Wisconsin. The oldest of three children born to Norman and Viola Tallman. He moved to Seattle, Wash. in his early teens.
He joined the Army Air Corp and served as a medic with the 337th Army Air Force. During WW II, he was stationed in the Aleutian Islands during the Japanese Invasion.
Upon his return home in 1944, he married "The Love of His Life", BEULAH "Boots" AMBURGEY and on April 27th they celebrated their 66th Anniversary. Most of their married life was spent living in Salem where Everett worked as a plumber and eventually owned his own business.
He Loved the "Lord" and was a member of the Salem Foursquare Church. Spending time with family, gardening, bowling and fishing were his passions. He especially enjoyed his fishing trips with his sons in Alaska and Canada. "Fish On" and "I'm Glad you got to see me" were his favorite sayings.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah; sons, Roger (Josie) of Silverton, Ore., Steve (Debra Jo) of Anchorage, Alaska and Mark of Tigard, Ore.; sisters, Laura Pruitt of LaPine, Ore. and Carol Sorkness of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren, Troy, Tracie and Ryan; and four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Austin, Hannah and Madison.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Keizer Funeral Home. Everett's final resting place will be at The Willamette National Cemetary. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society in his name would be appreciated.
