Nina R. Schlee, 96, died at her home on Saturday, May 1, 2010.

Nina Wenzel was born June 23, 1913, to William and Mathilda (Ritter) Wenzel in Oronoco. Nina and her family moved to Rochester in 1917. She graduated from Rochester High School. Nina married Otto F. Schlee on October 20, 1930. He died on October 8, 1997.

She worked in the Business Office of Mayo Clinic for thirty years and retired in 1978. Nina was a member of Mayo Clinic Friendship Club, and a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and its Martha Circle.

Nina is survived by her two daughters, Carol Gatti of Rochester and Marcia (John) Thede of Pickerel, Wis.; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Otto, son Robert, grandson Daniel, sister Inez, two brothers Clarence and Lee, and a son-in-law, Fred.

A Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Reverend Fred Rengstorf officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Oronoco Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
