EARL J. RECHER, aged 59, Chewsville, Md., died at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Saturday at 3 a.m. following an illness of four months.
Born in Frederick County, he was the son of Josiah and Mary Jane (Wilson) Recher. He was employed by the North American Cement Corp. for 20 years and for 16 years was employed by Jamison Cold Storage Door Company as general purchasing agent.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, and the Martin Luther Sunday School class. He was a charter member of the Chewsville Lions Club and was active in community projects.
Surviving are: his wife, Mabel V. (Wagner) Recher; daughter, Miss Mary Frances Recher, British Guiana, South America; sons, James Earl Recher, Washington, D. C.; Richard L. Recher, Chewsville; two grand children; and the following brothers and sisters, Miss Bessie Recher, Mrs. Earl Leather, Mrs. Alvey Dubel, Mrs. James Everly, all of Hagerstown; Mrs. Earl ltnyre, Boonsboro; Mrs. Lola Valentine, Beaver Creek; William Recher, Mt. Aetna; and Mrs. Raymond Minnich, Baltimore.
The funeral will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, E. Wilson Blvd., Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Wilson P. Ard. Interment will be in the Wolfsville Lutheran Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
