Robert grew up in Santiago and Clear Lake, MN.Graduated Clear Lake H.S.Attended Aircraft School in California. Began military service 1942.Robert was member of Mighty 8th. Lost on 10th mission when his aircraft and the radar pathfinder aircraft of the formation collided in poor weather over England. Robert flew on significant missions against V-1 and V-2 sites in France and industrial/military targets in Germany.He was radio operator on B-24.
