He was born October 22, 1941 in Depew, Oklahoma, a son of the late Allan Blackwell and Virginia McIntyre Blackwell Kelley.
He was a retired foreman at Bayer Corporation; a member of American Legion Post 28 in New Martinsville; Wetzel No. 39 A.F. & A.M.; and a U.S. Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Blackwell.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 12-3 and 7-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00pm.
Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville. Graveside services will be conducted by Wetzel No. 39 A.F. & A.M. and the Sistersville Honor Guard.
