TRINITY — Funeral for Albert Oneal Rose, 85, of Hillsboro will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Bernard Dawes and Charles Dickens officiating.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Rose died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1917, in Lawrence County to Benjamin A. Rose and Geneva Terry Rose. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Carpenter's Local 109 and Masonic Lodge 37 of Courtland. He was a lifelong member of Courtland Church of Christ. He was the widower of Bertha L. Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Berryman Rose; one son, Danny Rose of Hillsboro; two stepsons, Michael Patterson of Moulton and Steven Patterson of Sheffield; one stepdaughter, Sandra Waldrow of Town Creek; one brother, Grady Rose of Town Creek; three sisters, Bertie Price of Neel, Dorothy Sellers of Decatur and Shirley Brackin of Priceville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry Rose, Craig Terry, Bill Kirkpatrick, Michael Patterson, Kenneth Moats, Milton Letson and Jody Letson.
