Blair Maki was born June 28, 1953 to Vivian (Ihamaki) & the late Carl R. Maki. Blair attended the Ishpeming Public Schools. He worked as a contract hauler for the Mining Journal for the past 22 years, delivering approximately 600 newspapers daily.
Blair enjoyed a good conversation with anyone, always had a smile and something to say and liked talking on his CB radio. He loved camping at Van Riper State Park in Champion. Blair was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He enjoyed being around his family and friends.
Blair was survived by his wife Theresa (Lahti) Maki, his daughter Debra (Cory) Hocking of Rhinelander, WI, his mother Vivian Maki, of Ishpeming, 2 brothers: Gust ( Cookie) Maki of Ishpeming and Terry (Diane) Maki of Memphis, MI, nieces and nephews: Kyrra (Will) Garrett, Krissa Maki, Kent Maki and Laurie Maki along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Blair was preceded in death by his father Carl.
