HENRY L. FUQUA, JR. died 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 19, 1992, in Tallulah. He was 86, a resident of Tallulah and a native and former resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Fuqua Hardware employee. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theater. Religious services at St. James Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Rocki Proffitt. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by a niece-in-law; a great-niece; two great-nephews; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Survivors reside in Tallulah. Preceded in death by parents, former Governor Henry L. Fuqua Sr. and Laura Matta Fuqua; and a sister, Adel Matta Fuqua Scott. Pallbearers will be members of V.F.W. Zachary Taylor Post No. 3784. He was a former member of St. James Episcopal Church.
