Madonna V. "Donnie" Peters, 83, of Columbus died at 4:02 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Peters was a resident of Columbus for 20 years, lived in Westport from 1982 to 2006, then returned to Columbus in May. She was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church at Greensburg and loved to cook, especially sourdough bread.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born in Muncie June 29, 1923, Mrs. Peters was the daughter of Edward C. and Jessie F. Davis Runyon. She married Frank G. Peters June 28, 1946, at Muncie. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 2005.
Surviving are sons, Charles H. Peters of Columbus and Ted A. (Delicia A.) Peters of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Barbara Criswell, Wanda Abrams and Eileen Parker, all of Muncie, and Thelma Christine of New Castle; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Norma Jean Runyon and June Harmon; and a brother, Edward C. Runyon.
