Years ago he worked at local cheese factories as a cheese maker. He later farmed and was self employed as a woods worker, retiring in 1976.
He is survived by a son, John H. (Mary) Adams of Daggett, Mi.; a daughter, Delores M. "Dee" (Robert "Buck") Nemetz of Menominee, Mi.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Florence (Harold) Paasch of Manitowoc and a sister-in-law, Geneva Adams of Northbrook, Ill.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sophie Casperson, Louise Hanson and Martha Graham; six brothers, David, Louis, George, Frank, Thomas and Peter and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Lee Nemetz.
