Mrs. Cauley had been ill with a rare heart ailment and had been scheduled to undergo an operation this week.
A resident of this community all her life. Mrs. Cauley had lived with her parents in Steele for the past month. She was born in Chester County, Tenn. on October 16, 1916.
Survivors are her husband, Arlie "Dee" Cauley; a son Charles Lynn; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Frances Burgett, Alma Jean Cauley; and a grandson, Robert A. Burgett; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hurst; and her sister, Mrs. Virginia Romeo, of California.
