Mr. Knotts was a son of the late Lewis E. and Mary Johnson Knotts, of Greene County. He had moved to Morgantown about thirty years ago, where he was engaged in the real estate business.
His survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elsie Moore Knotts, four sons, Ralph and Donald, of Morgantown; Earl, of Huntington, and Willis, of New Albany, Ind. Seven brothers and sisters also survive, namely: Ira, Lawrence and Frank Knotts, all of Morgantown; Lambert Knotts, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Leonard Renner, of Mt. Morris; Miss Annie, of Jewett, Ohio, and Mrs. Ansel Lemley, of Mt. Morris, R. D.
