`John was the son of David Pfalser and Amelia Lurch. He married Viola Baughman on 18 September 1888 at Enterprise, Reno County, Kansas. They had ten children: Anna Luella, Carrie Alice, Charles Leroy, William Lester, Johnnie Lewis, Pearl Lovetta, Clarence Cecil, Earnest Lue, Clinton Herbert, and Virgie Viola Pfalser.
